Many times I wonNder how could in a country where 70% of population is dependant on 'Kheti', never given a serious thought to this business?

Our "Agriculture minister" never being serious about it, we never had any fruitful scheme which can develop the "KHETI" as a profit earning business.
Whereas, if we look in to ancient practices, every successful Empire, right from 'Samrat Ashoka' to 'Shivaji Maharaj' & 'Sayajirao Gaikwad' has Concentrated on this aspect, since it is directly related to the hunger. Every Empire has understood the importance of 'Kheti' to rule on the country.
India being over populated country has always been faced the food crisis due to less concentration on the farming. after 'green revolution' during 60's crisis has reduced but due to disorganised and unwillingly efforts in past decades the problem has again taken an 'Evil' shape.
During today's era of organised and Corporate world we must have to give a thought to do "Kheti" as a corporate affair wherein a group of people having some money to invest can go to a group of farmers who has farmland but cant invest in technology and ultimately can't earn the sufficiant amount for livelihood.
